Where do I start with Joshua Tree? OMG My First time photographing there was such a change of pace, a breath of fresh (and sometimes dusty) air. The air is still at moments, the heat relentlessly hot, but I felt at peace and a sense of overwhelming calmness and inspiration. I felt a sense of nostalgia the moment I arrived. The best way I can describe Joshua Tree is magic.
Maybe the magic there lies within the fact that the further you’d drive away, the more it started to look like a different world. That when we first started to see the span of the desert and the mountains and nothing else, that I had to pull over to soak it all in. Or that when I first got out of the car the realness of being in the desert sunk in.
This magical place has defiantly capture my heart. Have you ever wished that the whimsical destinations dreamed up by Dr. Seuss were real, and you could visit them yourself? Well here lies that magical place and I will be back to experience Joshua Tree National Park to it's fullest now that I'm a pass holder. Please enjoy these amazing images that bring a sense of magic from this magical place.
